In November I started production on a short film titled, The Foreigner. The film follows your typical shy and polite Canadian guy who experiences a huge culture shock within his hometown of Toronto. From the cold and dull Toronto streets he stumbles across another party late at night. After being lured in by an attractive women he gets thrown into a vibrant  Brazilian Forro party, where his shy personality is challenged by the outgoing Brazilian culture.

In November and Decemeber I shot a feature film titled, I Put a Hit On You starring Sara Canning and Aaron Ashmore. There will be a spot on ET Canada tonight at 7:30pm (Jan. 3rd 2013) showcasing the film and interviews with the actors. Please check it out!

In December MuchFACT had a end of the year screening of their best music videos. The Mornning Sun video that I shot with Director Zuzana Hudackova for the band The Wilderness of Manitoba was selected for the screening. Zuzana wanted this video to have a nostalgic feeling, as if we were flipping through a video scrapbook of sunny days at a Canadian cottage. Luckily we shot on one of the most beautiful days of the summer at a quaint cottage in Kingston, ON. All shot on a Canon 5D Mark II while using a variable ND filter to create some interesting vignettes, I was impressed with how the camera was able to handle the harsh sunlight and some of our harsh colour grading in post!

While in Criciuma, Brazil for a shoot in December 2012 I pulled this still from some video I shot. I really liked this moment that this Train Conductor had right before setting out on what was probably  one of the worst tours I’ve ever been on!

In August I shot another University of Toronto commercial with Producer/Director Mike MacMillan. This time we needed to deliver a one minute commercial to show the accomplishments of UofT’s medical facilities. The project called for a lot more shooting and a variety formats from stock footage, timelapse footage and motion graphics. Check it out!

For one day we followed Paul through a Hamilton flea market as he opened a portal to the 5th dimension. Two “entities” came out of the portal as we talked to Paul about the art of dowsing.
