Haunted by nightmares, an artist (Veera) abandons her life i n Finland to chase the ghost of her father to the remote island of Newfoundland. When a curious romance blossoms with a local seaman (Jack), she sneaks aboard his fledgling longliner destined for i c e fl o e s full o f seals.
The vessel is choked in a thick fog and there is no bounty on the water. Jack's
scrappy crew is lead by Patrick - desperate and plagued by superstition, he blames the mysterious weather on the stowaway. Violence erupts, hurling Jack and Veera into a fit of survival. A hypnotic vision of romance glowing in frozen landscapes .
